American born author and speaker, Lee Peyton Taylor wrote, "Amazing Recovered Bible Truths". After growing up in church since he was two, Lee attended a variety of churches over the last fifty years. For nearly thirty years, Lee and his wife have led evangelism groups, taught Bible studies, hosted home fellowship groups, and served God in many other capacities.
Several years ago Lee Peyton Taylor was challenged to defend the validity of a traditional church teaching he was raised with, and one that’s taught regularly by most pastors of the main stream churches. After realizing all he could do was woefully mimic what he’d heard as “gospel,” Lee was chagrined to find that what he’d been taught was not what the Bible said at all. In fact, Lee had not been following these admonitions of Paul, Jesus and Luke:
“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.” (The Apostle Paul in Colossians 2:8 NIV)
“...You nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.” (Jesus in Matthew 15:6 NIV)
The Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. (Luke in Acts 17:11 NIV)
After some time and research, Lee had to swallow hard and admit that he’d been taken captive by non-Biblical human traditions and those beliefs had a direct bearing on how he perceived God. It was time; Lee Peyton Taylor made a decision to study the Word for himself.
Lee diligently spent 5 years studying many Bible translations compared with the original Greek writings to determine if many of the commonly taught, traditional church beliefs were true. To be clear, Lee didn't study extra-biblical philosophy, commentaries or theologians of various stripes. Rather, he relied entirely on The Bible itself. The result of what he found was, “Hell Goes Up In Smoke”, and it's all Good News!
